Supplier of the year award win brings satisfaction

Using most of the features of M1, the ERP software package developed by Bowen & Groves, has assisted A & R Brayford Pty Ltd, a sheet metal company, in winning a coveted award from one of its major customers.

A & R Brayford, which specialises in sheet metal fabrication for the building, lighting, food processing, electronics and telecommunications sectors, was recently awarded the Supplier of the Year Award by its customer the Traffic Business Unit of Tyco Safety Products.

Brayford fabricates components for traffic signal controller units for the Tyco division.

Managing Director, Rod Brayford, said that the Award was received for meeting or exceeding a number of benchmarks, including timely delivery, the ability to prototype new product ideas and assist with their 'manufacturability' and achieving a partnership approach.

"We also think our emphasis on quality production with competitive pricing also helped" Rod added.

A & R Brayford offers a range of sheet metal solutions and works with it's customers from the initial product idea or requirement through design and development, to-on time delivery, with performance to relevant industry Standards.

"We have a significant portfolio of modern sheetmetal equipment from guillotining to turret punching, brake and power pressing, spot welding, a nut insertion machine, milling, welding and finishing equipment.

"We can also co-ordinate laser cutting, plating, and powder coating with accredited suppliers.

"We are accustomed to working with a wide range of materials including aluminium, brass, copper, cold rolled and Colorbond steel, stainless steel, zinc products, Versiclade and Vivak poly carbonate."

Rod said that his company enjoyed a reasonably good level of computing proficiency, but was not happy with their previous business management software.

"I guess this experience helped us in commissioning our conversion to M1 quickly.

"We find that features like the ability to focus on on-time delivery, to search the progress of our customers' jobs and to search material stock and pricing with ease are important benefits.

"We also consider the ease of making quotes, transferring them to orders with full tracing of the quotation, order, delivery document and final invoice gives us the sort of efficiency needed to be successful in the current business climate.

"M1 has proven to be a very user-friendly, feature driven ERP software package for our company" Rod added.

Developed by Bowen & Groves, the M1 software has already achieved a significant and growing user base in the manufacturing industry both locally and in the United States.
